This page explains how to remove data stored by Sloth on your device without deleting your account. Sloth is operated by Luca Gudermann, Berlin, Germany.
Option 1 — Reset in the app (recommended)
You can delete local app data at any time without signing out or deleting your account:
- Open Sloth on your device.
- Go to the Profile tab.
- Tap “Reset profile & data”.
- Confirm when prompted.
This removes the following data stored locally on your phone:
- Your display name and onboarding preferences
- All alarm settings (times, labels, repeat days, missions)
- Local statistics and achievement progress (streaks, challenge counts)
- Cached premium status used for offline app functionality
Your Firebase sign-in session (if you are signed in), your cloud account, and any active subscription remain in place. Camera video is never stored — there is nothing to delete.
Option 2 — Uninstall the app
Uninstalling Sloth from your device removes all local app data listed above. Your optional cloud account and subscription (if any) are not affected unless you also request account deletion.
Option 3 — Revoke device permissions
In your Android settings you can revoke permissions without deleting data:
- Camera — disables exercise verification during alarms
- Notifications — disables alarm alerts and reminders
- Exact alarms — may prevent alarms from firing on time
Revoking permissions does not erase stored alarms or stats.
Cloud and purchase data
If you signed in or purchased Sloth Pro, some data is held by our service providers (Firebase, RevenueCat, Google Play). Resetting local data does not delete:
- Your Firebase account (email, name, user ID)
- Subscription or purchase history
To delete your cloud account, see Delete your account. To cancel a subscription, use Google Play subscription settings.
